Rainbow Spaceship Playroom

Long Beach, California

Designing Play With Purpose

What do you do with an awkward stairwell space that seems too narrow to be useful? For our clients in Long Beach, California, the answer was to turn it into a kid’s dream: The Rainbow Spaceship Playroom. From the very start, their designers and architects imagined how our custom nets could open up the area while creating a safe, interactive play space. We were honored to help bring that vision to life. In just 10 days, we transformed a wasted corner of the home into a high-energy, intergalactic escape filled with color, movement, and adventure.

Designed with a rainbow space theme, the playroom features monkey bars, a rock wall, and vibrant paracord netting woven above the stairwell. The nets don’t just look cool—they make the space functional, letting kids climb, lounge, read, and explore while staying safe.

Because the house sits in a tight coastal neighborhood with no room for an outdoor playground, this indoor installation became the perfect solution. It proves how creative design can unlock even the trickiest of spaces and provide kids with what they need most: room to PLAY, move, and imagine.
