How it works

A Personalized Approach To Designing & Installing Your Treenet

What to expect

Our Craft & Commitment

Every treenet we build is more than a project, it’s a labor of love. Each strand we weave carries our time, skill, and attention, and no two treenets are ever the same. Because of the labor-intensive nature of this craft, we can only accept a handful of commissions per year. This allows us to pour our full focus into every space we design and install. We’re intentional about staying small — not because it’s easier, but because it keeps the quality and integrity of our work exactly where it should be.

Our team isn’t just made up of artisans, we’re experienced tree climbers, riggers, and designers who thrive on turning the seemingly impossible into something beautiful and functional. Whether we’re high in the trees or weaving across an indoor loft, every net we create is built with purpose, precision, and care. This process takes patience. It takes planning. And it takes heart. From the first sketch to the final weave, we’re invested — not just in the craftsmanship, but in the experience you have along the way. We know this is more than a feature in your home or business; it’s a space where people will gather, rest, play, and connect. That’s what makes it all worth it. We’re truly honored by every inquiry that comes through our door. The trust our clients place in us — to create something lasting, safe, and meaningful — is never taken lightly. Every project becomes part of our story too, and we treat it with the same care we’d give our own space.

A simple & stress-free process to make your treenet a reality

01 \ Inquiry

Start the Conversation

From the first hello, we’re listening. Start by completing our our inquiry form so we can learn your location, space, budget, and the ideal footprint for your treenet.

02 \ Book A CAll

Let’s Talk Details

After you submit your inquiry, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. During our chat, we’ll align on goals, timeline, and design vision so we can begin shaping your plan. Following our conversation, we'll create a custom quote for your project. Keep in mind that for accurate estimates, having a clear vision and measurements is really helpful. If you're unsure about your treenet location, dimensions, or design, don't worry—we're here to help you figure out the best approach during our consultation.

03 \ Design Options

Choose Your Experience

  • Option 1: Schedule an In-Person Design Meeting: This is our most comprehensive approach, perfect if you want an in-person experience and the most accurate quote from the start. We'll travel to your property to walk the site with you and discuss your goals in detail. During our visit, we'll take all necessary measurements and photos, and share some initial design ideas. Afterward, you'll receive professionally hand-sketched design concepts and a precise custom quote for your project.

  • Option 2: Send Photos for Sketch Concepts & Estimates: If you're looking for a quick initial idea, this option is ideal. Simply share photos of your desired treenet location(s) with us, and our design artist will create initial sketch concepts for you. Once you approve a design, we'll ask for the necessary measurements to provide you with a ballpark estimate to help you plan.

04 \ Project Scheduling & Planning

Planning Every Detail, Together

Once you receive your quote and service agreement, please make sure you read and understand them completely. Upon quote approval, a 20% deposit reserves your place on our calendar. Because we travel nationwide and scope varies, we commit to a three-month scheduling window and keep you updated throughout. In planning, we dial in every creative and technical detail together: paracord color selection (we’ll mail physical samples), weave pattern and density, anchor layout, and optional features like ladders, swings, bridges, aerial silks, or climbing holds. Every choice is intentional so your treenet fits your space and lifestyle beautifully

05 \ Two Weeks Before Arrival

Finalizing The Details

Two weeks out, 30% is due. We’ll confirm travel logistics, walkthrough expectations, and finalize the on-site plan.

06 \ Installation

Your Treenet Comes To Life

We look so forward to meeting you and your family and are honored that you are welcoming us into your home or business. While we work, we will approach the installation in a way that seamlessly integrates with your family & lifestyle. We always honor the spaces where our treenets are woven, leaving each one better than we found it.

We custom-weave your treenet by hand on site, with care and respect for your home or business. Timeline depends on size and complexity. At 50% completion, 40% is due; the final 10% is collected upon completion—then it’s time to enjoy your new space.

Travel Costs

We choose the most cost-effective approach (Sprinter van when possible; flights when sensible). Travel expenses—flights, hotel, tolls, rental car—are billed separately. You’ll always receive a clear price range and we obtain your approval before booking.

Project Requirements

Every treenet is custom and site-specific. These requirements ensure a smooth process and a safe, lasting installation.

Indoor Treenets

  • Custom artist renderings required prior to scheduling to confirm design intent and scale.

  • Structural engineer verification required; we coordinate this for you.

  • Structural reinforcements installed, sanded, and painted before arrival.

  • Rock-climbing walls installed in advance (we can add holds).

  • We install all hardware, weave the net, and integrate accessories (swings, bridges, aerial silks, ziplines).

  • Provide accurate space dimensions for precise estimates and a seamless install.

  • Complete design development with us in advance.

Outdoor Treenets

  • Custom artist renderings required prior to scheduling to align design and scope.

  • Provide accurate measurements to avoid cost surprises.

  • Arborist tree-health assessment recommended before installation.

Commercial Treenets

  • Custom artist renderings required prior to scheduling to define layout, materials, and scale.

  • Mandatory in-person meeting for complex designs (for straightforward, precisely measured layouts, we may skip—confirmed after review).

  • High-traffic environments (schools, museums, parks, businesses) require tubular webbing instead of paracord for maximum durability.

Kind Words

Lindsey and Kane wove a treenet on the top of the mountain at our hotel. It has become a magical environment for guests to explore, relax, sit back, and watch the sunset over the mountains.

Lyon Porter | Founder | Urban Cowboy

I fell in love with the work that Kane and Lindsey have done! I reached out and they were super responsive and came out to Santa Barbara to build our dream treenet.
